Goodbye Crazy
Got home last night at about 1 am, flipped on the recorded list and clicked my Countdown with Keith Olbermann. Was absolutely rocked to the core after hearing
Hillary Clinton blithely mention Bobby Kennedy's ASSASSINATION without any reference to the point she was making. This is the end of her presidential aspirations for me. To mention assassination with that lack of understanding left me colder than I ever thought I would ever feel about any single politician, much less a Democratic politician.
GO BAMA! Later this morning I watch (for some comic relief) the Faux News Channel as their intrepid hair-do asked two pundits from each side about the "new" strategy postulated by the McCain campaign that predicted a landslide victory for McCain. The African-American woman who was to do the Democratic rebuttal was all but apoplectic with laughter at the premise of doom and gloom for Obama. SLOW NEWS DAY!
Fishing on Monday with John and Pam and his girls; looking for the elusive Cobia.
Peace!

Hey Boo Boo, lets go steal..
...some face time at dinner after you win the Verizon Heritage! Monday past I was at work for the beginning salvo of golf tournament visitors here on Hilton Head; my first guests of the evening were a couple of regulars. Got them started with a couple of glasses of wine and handed them menu's and turned and watched as Glen Day, Mark Brooks, Boo Weekley, Brandt Snedecker and five or six caddies walked in the front door and moved into the remaining seats at the bar. This was going to be a gas. We had prepped ourselves for the onslaught of guests but I had not realized that since he won the Heritage (locals refer to it as such...it's had many sponsors taglines...WorldCom Heritage, MCI Heritage, Verizon Heritage, but it will always be the "Heritage" for all of the Lowcountry) Glen Day returned to the scene of the crime; his favorite restaurant from 1999 to the present. His buddies came along at his recommendation and there they would be EVERY NIGHT until the tournament concluded on Sunday at about six o'clock.
Boo was particularly interested in the "rumour" that I was able to do a complete gymnastic split. Not one to disappoint, I performed like a circus monkey...but only after they had ponied up some cash. Pimp this ride baby! Eyes wide open as I pulled off the seemingly impossible, they all gladly put their Jackson's on the bar and I gleefully swept them all up. A feat that would be performed nightly; netting me about five hundred bucks for the week.
Here's a couple of pics from our dinner with Boo at Marley's that night; my girl Jen and I hugged him on 18 soon after the final putt...first time I was allowed on the final green with the winner...I've witnessed over twenty Heritage tourney's...first time under the ropes with the champ. Boo's Mom Patsy was with us all week at the restaurant and we walked with her most days for at least a few holes before heading back to ready ourselves for the evenings festivities.
Back to work this week at the photo office...our Liverpool tie with Chelsea was such a downer...John Arne Riise is on my shit list!

Easy Like Sunday Morning.
Got awakened by a cold nose and a whine. "Take me outside human!" In dogolese. After the Number 1 and Number 2 show I took my J down to Sunrise Cafe for a brunch with her fellow Spanish teacher, Ms. LT. Took Ms. Wetnose too. After a prolonged wait armed with a beeper that looked like a taser...DON'T TASE ME BRO! I ordered the popular and only available on Sunday's...Corned Beef Hash topped with poached eggs and homemade hollandaise. Cue Dora The Explorer...DELICIOOOOOO-SO. Back to the homestead after a quick stop to pick up some Eukanuba kibble and sundries I pick up the remote and review my recorded episodes of EPL footie I missed on Saturday and early Sunday. Barnsley beats Chelsea! Spectacular goal by 6' 3" Nigerian, Kayode Odejayi...a fantastic header over Chelsea's goalkeeper Cudicini who was ineptly attempting to grab it from Odejayi's ankles.
I am heating up some grub from last night, the sous Chef Steve loves to give me a treat to take home. Yee Ha coworkers!
See ya...

Sunday Footie
Caught the Lads victory against Bolton this morning; Gerrard is the class player of the match but they still need to put Peter Crouch up front with Fernando Torres for more goal scoring punch. Nice to see Tim and Everton get a victory and move up to the fourth champions league spot. My Time Warner Cable sucks. It was out for the Everton game so I missed it but caught the details on the Setanta/BBC Sports info sites.
Busy day tomorrow; editing room in the morning and running the pub tomorrow night.
Should be knackered on Tues!

Bman takes me under his wing
My best friend Bman has been looking for credible help to run his business as he is overwhelmed with minutiae and focus issues that keep him from excelling and taking his company to the next level. Enter moi. The issues at my other job that may end up taking it off the table as another viable revenue stream (Cman may close the doors rather than keep losing money) and I cannot think of a more professional entity I'd like to be associated with. I was just going over the potential financial benefits that Bman's business seems to possess; its going to be a net one 100K grander gross minimum deal. He needs someone (me) to keep his editing end of his business grinding out the real part of the game, the shooting part is only about ten percent of the total. I billed out about 488 bucks worth of widgets in two days and that was because I am only learning the Adobe Photochop-chop as we go...when I get it down, we can look at weekly production of 2 to 3K. That doesn't included albums or the big wedding shindig cash. Put that all together and you've got the potential that can take me to a better place.
Jgirl got home ONTIME yesterday for once, she snuck up on me when I was walking our community doggie; we had sushi for dinner and watched a couple of hours of crappy television on the 42 inch Philips flat screen. It totally makes for an incredible viewing experience. Wish we had more HD channels as the regular ones SUCK!
Gotta punch out my article today, minimal work with Jman so I can put in a couple of hours on it this morning and after I get done with him I can come back and have the afternoon to bang it out, copy it and send it to Mgirl and her crew.
Got a phone call from CaptR about the goings on down at my old gig; I guess Pman is fishing every day. Nice work when you don't have to work because you're the brother of the money man. Fuck em. Hope Foxman is getting better, he has to sit in a chair with a heart monitor because it's malfunctioning. Must be a horrible thing for a divemaster and fishing boat captain to deal with. Ok y'all (that's for You All for all y'all non Southerners!) gotta git back on Rachel U.
Cheers.
